Now Available in India Oppo F1 Selfie

After launching the selfie-focused smartphone in India last month, Chinese manufacturer Oppo on Sunday announced availability of the smartphone in the country, starting with New Delhi.
Priced at Rs. 15,990, the dual-SIM (Micro-SIM + Nano-SIM) supporting Oppo F1 runs on ColorOS 2.1 based on Android 5.1 Lollipop. The sports an aluminium body and is slim at 7.25mm.


The Oppo F1 houses a 5-inch HD (720x1280 pixels) resolution IPS display protected by 2.5D Gorilla Glass 4 coating with pixel density of 294ppi. The smartphone is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 SoC (four cores at 1.7GHz and four cores at 1.2GHz), Adreno 405 GPU, and 3GB LPDDR3 RAM clocked at 1866MHz are also included the handset.
In the camera department, the Oppo F1 bears a 13-megapixel rear camera with f/2.2 aperture and single LED flash. It also includes an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with wider f/2.0 aperture (1/ 4-inch sensor) along with software features such as Beautify 3.0, 8 live colour filters, and more. The display also doubles as the flash in low-light environments.
The Oppo F1 also includes proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, accelerometer, and digital compass. The smartphone is backed by a 2500mAh Li-Po battery and houses 16GB of inbuilt storage.
As for the connectivity, the smartphone supports 4G LTE networks (India bands supported), along with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and Micro-USB connectivity.
At the time of its CES announcement, Oppo said the new F-Series smartphones will keep photography as its central focus. As per Sky Li, Oppo Vice President and Managing Director of International Mobile Business, the new series is said to "inherit the excellent camera performance and exquisite design tradition."

Apple has slashed the prices in India for iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, and iPhone SE. The iPhone 6s now starts at Rs. 50,000 and comes with double the storage, while the bigger iPhone 6s Plus 32GB will now come with a starting price tag of Rs. 60,000. The iPhone SE 64GB has got a price cut as well. The announcements come just ahead of Apple 's October 7 launch of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus in India.


The iPhone 6s 128GB model is now priced at Rs. 60,000, a Rs. 22,000 price cut from its earlier price of Rs 82,000. The iPhone 6s Plus 128GB in the meanwhile is now priced at Rs. 70,000, seeing the same Rs. 22,000 price drop from its Rs. 92,000 launch price. The iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus now start at Rs. 50,000 and Rs. 60,000 respectively, a drop of Rs. 12,000 each compared to their launch price, and you also get double the storage at 32GB, compared to 16GB last year.
As we mentioned, Apple's 4-inch iPhone SE smartphone, which was launched in March this year, also got a price cut. The iPhone SE 64GB model is now priced at Rs. 44,000, seeing a Rs. 5,000 price cut from its Rs. 49,000 price. The price for 16GB model remains unchanged at Rs. 39,000.
The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus will be launched in India on October 7, with the iPhone 7 32GB starting at Rs. 60,000.

iPhone 7 will launch in India at a starting price of Rs. 60,000 for the new 32GB base storage model. There's no word on the price in India of other variants.

In the US, the iPhone 7 starts at $649 (approximately Rs. 43,000) for the new 32GB entry-level variant, doing away with the 16GB model. Apple has also doubled the storage variant on other models, with 128GB and 256GB models now rounding up the lineup. 128GB iPhone 7 costs $749 (approximately Rs. 49,750) and the 256GB model will be available at $849 (approximately Rs. 56,250).

The iPhone 7 Plus start at $769 (approximately Rs. 51,000) for 32GB storage. The iPhone 7 Plus has been priced at $869 (approximately Rs. 57,750) for the 128GB variant and $969 (approximately Rs. 64,250) for the 256GB variant.

iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus will also be available to customers in India beginning Friday, October 7.
